We can be so focused on the world around us. We can be distracted by the busy life we lead. We seem to have every second of our lives accounted for with activities. Maybe when we look at our lives and the things that occupy it we need to see if they meet the requirements that God asks from His people. In Matt. 6 Jesus tells us about how we need to make priorities in our daily living. He stated, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Are we focusing on the things of the Kingdom of God? Are we focusing on the material temporary things of this world? As He stated everyday has trouble of its own. You can be young or older and still need to learn the lesson of putting God and the things of the Kingdom first. This is not something that is done overnight. It is something that takes time, prayer, and desire. We must desire the relationship with God over all other things. There is nothing more important than our relationship with God. Ask yourself: Does your life reflect how much you value God and your relationship with Him? Do we put Him first in all that we do?
